MAC Venomous Villains Nail Lacquers

Yay! I finally have the MAC's Venomous Villains Nail Lacquers done today (2 months late). I know its all absolutely sold out now and that evil eBay is having it for prices beyond imaginable.

I spent quite a lot of money on this collection. Being that I absolutely love Disney, and of course MAC. Them collaborating is like me having a dream come true! Below is everything that I bought from the collection. I do not regret spending money on these because I love the colors and everything. My wallet wasn't happy though, but that's OK xD

Anyway, here are the swatches of the nail lacquers:

Formidable is a plum-ish base with blue and pink flecks of shimmer. Yes very similar to Orly's Galaxy Girl

Mean & Green is a brownish green base with purple and golden shimmer. And yes very similar to Orly's Space Cadet

Bad Fairy is a red shimmer with hints of gold and orangey shimmer

As you can see, Bad Fairy is the only one worth buying since Formidable and Mean & Green have dupes. What I wished they did was slap on Maleficient's picture on the polish bottle like they did with the Hello Kitty's. That would've made the polish more special and unique. They were all under three coats and application was pretty good. Had no problems.

Chanel Les Khakis De Chanel Collection

I finally have the Chanel Les Khakis De Chanel collection polishes to show today. I know I'm a wee bit late on these and that they're already sold out and all that junk. My apologies for that.

I went through some trouble trying to obtain these. The Chanel website was giving me trouble when these were released. I ended up calling up a Nordstrom in Seattle to order them.

A lot of people did not find interests in these, but I have an obsession with colors that are out of the ordinary for nails. When I saw swatches of these, I told myself I must have them, and I do not regret buying them at all.

Khaki Brun

Khaki Rose

Khaki Vert

The formula for these were surprisingly good. It was a little thick but it worked out fine for me. All of them were under two coats, they were fully opaque in one coat, very pigmented. But of course I did two out of habit and to even it out. In my opinion, the colors are unique and there are no dupes I can think of for them. I know there are colors that are close it but not quite the same!

Did you guys ended up getting these as well?

MAC Style Clan from A Tartan Tale Collection

Today I have MAC's Style Clan nail polish from their A Tartan Tale holiday collection. I was not really blown away by their collection, therefore Style Clan was the only thing I bought.

Style Clan is a murky brown with hints of gold flecks

I read around the blogosphere and not many people liked this color. I don't know why but I love it. Maybe it's because I have love for these type of colors.

This was done under two coats. I didn't have any application issues at all, even with a deformed brush. The brush on my bottle had like a gazillion flyaways but I was able to control it so that's fine I suppose.

Did any of you buy this? If so, did you like it? If you didn't buy it, what don't you like about it?

That's all I have for today.

Nicole by OPI Holiday Magic Collection

I have the Nicole by OPI Holiday Magic Collection for the 2010 holiday to show you today! The collection consists of four colors, two shimmers, and two glitters.

I know that Thanksgiving Day is not even here yet, but I'm really in the holiday spirit. Christmas is my favorite holiday of all times.

Bring On the Tinsel is a clear base with silver glitter as its main glitter and green, red, blue glitters mixed with it. Very pretty and very sparkly. And I love things that sparkle :)

Spark My Mistletoe is a clear base with red glitter and octagon shaped like glitters

Stuck In The Chimney is a chutney red shimmer with a very teeny tiny slight hint of gold

Index and Ring: Bring on the Tinsel over Stuck In a Chimney
Middle and Pinky: Spark My Mistletoe over Stuck In A Chimney

Kiss Me at Midnight is a dark cherry wood red shimmer

Index and Ring: Bring on the Tinsel over Kiss me at midnight
Middle and Pinky: Spark my mistletoe over kiss me at midnight

Spark My Mistletoe really brings out the red shimmer in Kiss Me At Midnight. Gorgeous!

My favorites are Kiss Me At Midnight and Bring On the Tinsel!

The formula for these were excellent. Had no problems with them at all. The two shimmers took only two coats to be fully opaque. As for the glitters, it took 3 coats. Application applied smoothly, no streaks no fuss.

Which ones do you like? Will you be getting these?

(These were sent to me for review)

Misa What I Like About You Collection

Hi lovelies! Today I have Misa's What I Like About You Collection for the Fall 2010. The collection consists of six new colors that's perfect for the Fall.

Spinning Out of Control is a blurple shimmer. Leans more towards the purple side.

Quirky Smile is a teal shimmer

Like It Like That is a bright metallic grimmer shimmer with slight weak blue duochrome

It's You! is a deep gray with slight hints of green and pink duochrome

When U Say My Name is a deep brown shimmer

Perfect Kiss is a magenta shimmer. Sorry for yellowiness, as this picture was taken as the sun was about to set!

These were very well pigmented and was opaque in 2 coats. As for the formula, they were better than their usual polishes. Misa's polishes tends to be on the thick side, however these weren't as thick as they use to be. I didn't have much problems applying these.

Although the colors didn't really amaze me much, my favorites are It's You! and Quirky Smile. All the other ones didn't really catch my breath. And to be honest none of the colors are unique in anyway, except for maybe It's You!.

I didn't get the Spark My Interest collection because well... because it didn't really spark my interest! Haha sorry I just had to say that. Well that's all I have for today!

Chanel SoHo Story Strong and Steel

It's almost Friday!

Today I have two nail polishes from Chanel's SoHo Story collection. Being that I'm from New York, when I heard this about this collection, I was quite excited. I ended up purchasing the SoHo de Chanel highlighting and blush powder and the Quadra eye shadow palette in Stupendous; but I didn't even get to try any of them yet -_-

Cute pouches it came in

SoHo de Chanel Highlighting Powders and Blush - I like the brush it came with :D

The Quadra Eye Shadow Palette in Stupdendous

And now the swatches..

Strong is a a deep burgundy brown. On the bottle it looks more burgundy, but on the nails it looks almost black with hints of brown and burgundy shimmer. Very nice color for the Fall

Steel is a charcoal gray-black with silver micro-shimmer. Here's something very interesting; I was applying this during the night time with a very dim lamp on. As I was painting it I noticed that it was looking a little blue-ish to me. I thought my eyes were playing with me. So I decided to take a picture with flash.

(Please click to enlarge)

See those flecks of blue shimmer?! Cool.. (wait.. or is it just me?)

The formula is decent. It was a little thick, but these are highly pigmented. Seriously, one coat did the job, but I'm never comfortable with one coat, always gotta slab on another coat to smooth out any imperfections.

Though I liked both of these colors, they're not at all unique. For $23, I'm sure you can get a ton of polishes that are alike or similar at least. I *believe* these are still available on the chanel.com website and other department stores that carries Chanel.

Well that's all I have for today!

Four New Sally Hansen for Fall 2010

Today I have four new Sally Hansen polishes for the Fall. I only chose the four that appealed to me most. And I'm loving all of them.

Evening Fog is a nude beige with gray undertones. Can safely say this is a greige but it's more beige than gray

Golden Ticket is a orange copper glitter. This one is my favorite. It was fully opaque in 2 coats but I did 3 for more depth

Sequin Scandal is a dark murky olive green shimmer. It's close to brown without sunlight but I love the shimmer

Fedora is a tan creme with silver flecks of silver shimmer. You can barely tell there's silver shimmer on the nail, but it's noticeable on the bottle

The application for these were good, not bad. I had a little problem with Fedora because the brush was a little mess up but other than that its fine.

So that's all I have for today!

Essie Fall Collection 2010

Greetings all! I have no class today so I took the chance to catch up on my blogging. So today I have for you Essie's Fall Collection for 2010. I'm totally loving this collection because the colors are gorgeous and unique in its own way. The collection consists of 6 colors, and here they are:

Limited Addiction is a deep garnet bright red creme. 2 coats. I loved this one, and because I've been loving reds lately. It's not as bright as the picture shows, but because it was in direct sunlight the color is a little off. It's slightly darker

Merino Cool is a taupey mulberry creme. 2 coats. Please ignore the lint on my nails lol

In Stitches is a soft blush pink. 2 coats. I love this one. Very unique and stands out. I can't really describe the color to you -_-

Sew Psyched is a gray-ish creme with green undertones I'd say. 2 coats Essie describes this color as "cashmere-soft sage pewter"

Little Brown Dress is a dark brown creme. I've always liked brown nail polishes but I rarely wear it so I like this one. It's dark :)

Velvet Voyeur is a vampy brown purple creme. 2 coats

The formulas for these were excellent. All were opaque under two coats. My favorites are Limited Addiction and In Stitches. I liked Merino Cool and Sew Psyched too. Least favorite was Velvet Voyeur. I just felt like it didn't really stand out to me.

Well that's all I have for today!

ORLY Cosmic FX Collection

Today I have the Orly's Cosmic FX collection. This collection is freaking AMAZING. That's all I have to say. But it is by far the hardest collection to capture in picture. These have to be seen in person to appreciate the beauty. And I'm sure majority of you already have these in hands? lol I'm just very late in posting these. But I've tried my best

Below: Space Cadet. It is a brown, green, purple duo-chrome. Very strong duo-chrome. My first picture is in natural lights and shows the duo-chrome at its best. Second picture is in an angle to show the green. And third picture is in artificial light which shows the brownish purple. And last picture is in direct sunlight.

Below: Galaxy Girl. It is a plumish purple with silver and turquoise blue flecks. First picture is under natural light which shows most of the colors. Second picture is in direct sunlight, and last picture is under artificial lights.

Below: Lunar Eclipse. A vibrant blue with silver flecks and slight purple/pink duo-chrome. First picture under artificial lights shows all the blue. Second picture in direct sunlight and last picture is natural light to show the slight pink and purple, which is barely noticeable in the picture.

Below: Halley's Comet. A turquoise with silver flecks. Very nice and shimmery, almost metallic like.

Below: It's Not Rocket Science. A swampy green with silver flecks. Yes, same as China Glaze Zombie Zest, and SpaRitual Optical Illusion. But I *feel* that this one is a brighter green.

Below: Out of This World. Vampy purple with silver and purple flecks.

Formula on these were perfect. All of them were done under three coats, though it was good with two. But I like it to have more depths to photo better and look better. I have a little more patience when it comes to my nails. I had no problems with application at all. No mess no fuss. My favorite is Space Cadet, Galaxy Girl, and Lunar Eclipse. The three duo-chromes in this collection, what do you know? Haha.

Well that's all I have for today, enjoy your weekend!
