Zoya Fire & Ice (Flame) Collection

Hi! I know I haven't post in awhile. I was sick for the past week and I'm finally feeling better. Still coughing and voice is still rasping but other than that I'm good. So forgive me :)

So anyways, today I have Zoya's new Fire & Ice Collection, which recently the collection's name was changed to Flame collection. This collection consists of 6 gorgeous colors with a foil like finish.

All pictures were taken under artificial light.

Tiffany a soft peachy copper shimmer

Gloria is a rosey pink shimmer

Crystal is a turquoise blue with gold flecks

Lisa is a red shimmer with reddish flecks

Sarah a magenta shimmer with red and pink flecks

Valerie is a plum purple with light purple flecks

Overall this collection is stunning. I loved all six shades, but my favorite has to be Crystal. I love how the orangey/gold/copper flecks work with the turquoise. Very unique color. Formula was the typical Zoya formaul, smooth and perfect in every way. All were under two coats.

And that's all I have for today!

Four New Sally Hansen for Fall 2010

Today I have four new Sally Hansen polishes for the Fall. I only chose the four that appealed to me most. And I'm loving all of them.

Evening Fog is a nude beige with gray undertones. Can safely say this is a greige but it's more beige than gray

Golden Ticket is a orange copper glitter. This one is my favorite. It was fully opaque in 2 coats but I did 3 for more depth

Sequin Scandal is a dark murky olive green shimmer. It's close to brown without sunlight but I love the shimmer

Fedora is a tan creme with silver flecks of silver shimmer. You can barely tell there's silver shimmer on the nail, but it's noticeable on the bottle

The application for these were good, not bad. I had a little problem with Fedora because the brush was a little mess up but other than that its fine.

So that's all I have for today!

Color Club Cast A Spell Mini Collection

Halloween is just around the corner! (OK not really, but still!) I love Halloween. I love eating candy corn and I just love Halloween! I can't wait to do my Halloween manis! Got so many ideas thanks to other bloggers! But for now I have Color Club's Cast A Spell Mini collection.

Hocus Pocus is a semi-sheer base with holographic glitters. This was done in 3 coats

Spellbound is a bright neon orange creme. VERY bright

Charmed I'm Sure is a blurple shimmer. It's more purple in real life, but we all know the cases of cameras.

Bewitching is a black creme. Fully opaque in one coat. Sounds like a good polish to use for konads!

The formulas were nice. It was just a little hard for me to use since I have long fingers, and the tiny little bottle cap was hard for me to hold. Other than that no complaints!

And that is all I have for today!

MAC Fall Trend F/W 2010

Greetings all! Today I have the MAC Fall Trend for Fall and Winter collection by Jin Soon. I can tell you right now that when I received my order I was disappointed just by looking at the bottles. But to my surprise this collection is actually gorgeous. Six gorgeous shimmers packed with a lot of flecks. The colors weren't disappointing either, although some colors weren't at all unique.

These are still available at the MAC website for $13 each. And before I show you my swatches, I have to say their formula improved for this collection. It applied perfectly, and fully opaque in two coats. It wasn't thick or thin, but in between. I don't regret buying all of them after all lol

Rain of Flowers is a plum purple base with blue and purple flecks

Ming Blue is a true blue packed with turquoise and blue fleck shimmers. Looking at the bottle it looked darker than I expected. Once applied on the nails it came out to a beautiful blue.

Jade Dragon is an emerald green with green and silver flecks

Imperial Flower is a bright orange shimmer with gold flecks

Earthly Harmony is a gray beige with gold flecks. The gold flecks are hardly noticeable on the nails though

Concubine is a dark red shimmer packed with red and gold flecks. This one took me by surprise. I was expecting a boring red but it was actually a darker shade of red. It looked perfect for the fall.

So there you have it. Would any of you be buying these? Or if you already did, which one is your favorite? I have to say Ming Blue, Jade Dragon, Earthly Harmony, and Concubine are my favorites. I like Imperial Flower but oranges doesn't look that great on my skin tone. Rain of Flowers I've seen a lot of similar ones so it didn't really impress me all that much.

That is all I have for today!

Also, there are exactly four more days left to enter my 600th followers ManGlaze giveaway! Don't miss out if you haven't entered yet! Check out the left side bar for more information!

China Glaze Vintage Vixen Collection

Hi all! Today I finally have the China Glaze Vintage Vixen collection to show. During my weeks of swatching there was absolutely no sun at all, therefore all pictures were taken under artificial light (which I pretty much prefer since its most color accurate)

I'm so glad to finally swatch fall collections because I'm loving all the fall colors as I'm a little "sick" of the summer colors. As we all know that's just temporary xD

On with the swatches!

Swing Baby - a silver/gold shimmer with foil finish. Very bling like

Riveter Rouge - a strong golden red shimmer

Midnight Mission - dark blue shimmer, has silver flecks

Jitterbug - a light charcoal silver foil. Has a little blue and a little purple in it. But mostly silver.

Ingrid - chocolatey taupe with silver flecks of shimmer. LOVE

Hey Doll - a bronzey brown shimmer

Goin' My Way - golden brown shimmer. A little close to bronze but more brown toned.

Foxy - a fire red bronze shimmer

First Class Ticket - dark purple shimmer. Picture shows a little more blue than purple.

Emerald Fitzgerald - a dark green/teal shimmer

Classic Camel - mustardy beige with golden shimmers. LOVE

Bogie - a sort of an eggplant purple metallic ish.

I love this collection. The colors are great for fall. And their formula was good. Some were a little leaky but not too much. My favorite is Classic Camel and Ingrid.

I'm looking forward to their 'Tis the Season to be Naughty And Nice collection. Though not much colors interest me there. I need to see more swatches before I'm convinced to buy the whole collection. Though I'm really interested in that peppermint cuticle oil. I might even buy two sets just so I can get that peppermint oil lol

Well that's all I have for today. I have a few hours to spare before I head to class, time to relax :) Enjoy your Sunday guys! And for those who have Columbus Day off, enjoy that as well!

Nfu Oh 103

This is such a beautiful summer shade! I love it. So positive and fun! Applied like a dream, two coats :)

OPI Summer Flutter Collection 2010 - Swatches and Review

Today I have for you a cute little summer collection from OPI. The weather outside is just right for these shades, so lets have a look at them.

OPI says: OPI is all "aflutter" this summer with four new lacquer shades inspired by the brilliance and whimsy of butterflies!
"These sizzling pinks, orange, and turquoise look amazing against summer skin," says Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. "And whether you pair them with flip flops and your favorite bikini or a slinky mini with high-heeled sandals, they add a burst of exotic, tropical color to your style!"

The swatches are all without a base or top coat and are in natural daylight (no sun or lightbox).

FLOWER TO FLOWER
A beautiful bright pink with silver shimmer. Reminds me of ice cream. Just a perfect shade for summer. Application was flawless, three coats.

FLIT A BIT
Super bright orange creme. I am not much an orange person but after trying OPI Hot & Spicy I am starting to fall in love. And now I have this beauty here. Also very pretty, screaming summer is here :) Three coats and flawless aplication.

WING IT!
Love the color and idea of this one. Sadly it isn´t opaque even after three coats. I will try layering it in my next post. Still I have to say that this polish pretty and unique.

CATCH ME IN YOUR NET
I saved the best for the end. LOVE this! It is such a beautiful mermaid color. And so perfect for summer, I will be taking this one on my holidays for sure. Three coats.

I like this collection very much. The only downside is the sheerness of Wing It! but as I said, I will try some layering experiments. The formula on all of these was just perfect. Love the OPI brush :) These are already in stores, so go and get your nails ready for summer. Oh, and the good part is that all four of these can be found in the mini set. Great for traveling!
P.S. In my next posts I will be comparing these to see if there are any dupes :) stay tuned.

What do you think about the Summer Flutter Collection?

Misa Um You're Too Delicious

Hi all!

Since it's the World Cup and all, I'm trying out my orange polishes to see if there is one suitable for a manicure when The Nederlands will be playing. This time: Misa Um You're Too Delicious, which was part of my swap with Linda :)

Um You're Too Delicious orange neonUm You're Too Delicious Orange neonMisa Um You're Too Delicious, three coats in daylight. Um You're Too Delicious is a jellylike orange neon. I didn't even know it was possible, but it certainly looks that way! Normally neons dry matte or satin, but this one dries absolutely shiny with a jellylike finish. I like it! Please believe me when I say that this polish is WAY brighter irl.

Application was fine, but drying time was not. It took forever to dry and when I tried to stamp it, over an hour later, it still wasn't dry and I ended up taking it off because the stamping ruined my mani. Also, I suspect that this is the only Misa I own that is not B3F and that this causes the polish to smell really bad (I will check the ingredients later today to be sure). I will try her once more this week or next week, to see if it works better :)

So now I wonder: what's your favorite orange polish?

Thanks for stopping by!

OPI Hot & Spicy (Hong Kong Collection 2010)

I don´t like orange polish, you all know this  :) so I thought I wouldn´t like this polish. But I was wrong, I actually like it very much! Great for summer an orange creme. It took three coats for full coverage and I so much like the OPI brush (although I have problems to paint my pinky with it)!

Go Holland! A World Cup Inspired Manicure

Hi all!

In a little over an hour, The Netherlands will play their first World Cup match! They're playing against Denmark and to support them a little, I decided to do a World Cup Inspired manicure.

China Glaze Breakin'Hup Holland Hup! Lol! I used China Glaze Breakin' for the orange on my nails. Breakin' is opaque in three coats and has a subtle shimmer. For the Dutch Flag I used Essence Hot Red, BarryM Matt White and OPI Dating a Royal. The latter is darker irl.

And because I like this.. A couple more pics!

The last two pictures were taken with my "Grote Beesie", one of the World Cup mascottes that Albert Heijn (a supermarket) is giving away when you buy a certain amount of groceries. I really like mine!

A Recent NOTD

Hi all!

A quickie today! I just have a recent NOTD to share with you..

W.I.C by Herome Lisbon, three coats in daylight. This polish was a gift from Karin and Michèle at our playdate.. Thanks dears! ♥ Lisbon is a medium purple with hints of pink shimmer. I think it's a gorgeous shade. I don't own any polish like this, so it's unique in my stash!

Application was a bit tricky since the polish was a bit thick, but nothing unmanagable - and nothing that thinner can't fix. Drying time was good and the wear of this one was great. I wore this for five days before taking it off, with only minor tipwear and one teenie chip.

That's all for today, I wish you all a wonderful and sunny weekend.

Thanks for stopping by!

PS: The bottle I'm holding is Misa Ummm You're Too Delicious ;)

China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy with Konad

It is raining outside and it will for another week, that sucks! I decided that I need a mani to cheer me up and the choice was Flip Flop Fantasy from the Poolside collection. This color is really so much fun, it is so positive :) Black konad looks great over these bright colors, so I went for something simple and summery. Image from plate m28. Oh and guess where China Glaze is from? Yes, California!
