I was playing with my Bundle Monster plates and came out with this. The base is Illamasqua Force, my favourite blue at the moment and stamped with China Glaze Millenium.

China Glaze Vintage Vixen Collection 2010 - Swatches and Review
Today I have for you one of the most exciting collections for this fall - the China Glaze Vintage Vixen Collection! Every year it is the same with me. I can´t wait for their fall collections because they always come with such pretty shades. Remember the Rodeo Diva Collection from 2008? Well that is my favourite nail polish collection ever :) So lets have a look at the newest one.
The collection is inspired by the 40s. The official description says: "For Fall 2010, the China Glaze Vintage Vixen Collection captures the vivid and saturated hues of the 1940’s with this seductively complex palette. These classic shades of the season recreate the timeless tableau of movie land mystique, perfect red pouts and steamy nights where swing was the scene!"
What a great era to be inspired with! Again, this collections has a total of twelve shades that come in two sets. Of course the polishes can be bought separately. Here they are:
The swatches are all without a base or top coat and are in natural daylight (no sun or lightbox).
You can watch my video of the collection here.
You can watch my video of the collection here.
JITTERBUG
A beautiful black/grey foil metallic. It shines so much, looks like a shiny stone. One of my favourites. Two coats.
BOGIE
It is always hard to say which shade from a collection is the best for me but I think it is this one. Love at first sight. Not only is the shade really beautiful but the application was flawless and it is very richly pigmented. One coat could have been just fine, I did two. Get this one!
HEY DOLL
The name and the shade make this polish so girly. It is soft and elegant but still not boring for me. Great color for fall. Two coats again here.
FOXY
This is such a beautiful fall shade. Reminds me of the falling leaves. Red with golden shimmer. Two coats.
INGRID
Another contribution to the taupe trend and a very pretty one! It has very soft golden shimmer. Two coats.
SWING BABY
The second foil of the collection. This time it is a champagne. The only polish from the whole collection I used three coats.
GOIN' MY WAY?
Warm metallic bronze. Very pretty and very well pigmented. Can´t wait to do a full mani with this one when fall comes. Two coats.
RIVETER ROUGE
Bright red with silver micro glitter. As with all the swatches this is without a top coat which you might want to use to sooth down the rough surface. Two coats.
CLASSIC CAMEL
The name says it all. First thing that comes to my mind when i look at this polish is a camel. I think this is the most unique color of the whole collection. I really like the golden flecks it has. This color will not suit all skin tones though. Two coats.
EMERALD FITZGERALD
One of my favourites. A beautiful green that leans to the blue side. What else could I want? Just look at the depth of the polish. Two coats.
MIDNIGHT MISSION
Like a starry sky. Beautiful glossy blue with silver glitter. The glitter is very soft and easy to remove. So so pretty!! Two coats.
FIRST CLASS TICKET
What fall collection would it be without a purple! And what a beautiful one. Dark but not too much. A bit more to the blue side but it still is purple. I saw some pictures of it looking almost blue but it isn´t. Love the depth of this one.
Well this is it. All twelve of the polishes from the Vintage Vixen Collection which should launch in July 2010. I really like the choice of colors and the formula on most of these. They were all but one two coaters and I didn´t have any major application problems. It will sound crazy but I can´t wait for fall to come! :)
Let me know what you think about the collection? Any must haves?

Light Blue Creme Comparison
As I promised I bring you a compariosn of my three ligh blue creme polishes:
Ciaté Refresher
Sephora By OPI Havana Dreams
Hard Candy Sky
The OPI one is between the other two in terms of color but the worst in application. You will need about 3 - 4 coats. I think I love the Finger Paints most. So easy to apply, great brush and a beautiful color.

Hard Candy Sky
I have recently fell in love with light blue creme polishes. So this one is another of my latest hauls. I got it real cheap on ebay. I was scared about the application but no problems, two coats were just fine! Love the bottle and the silly plastic ring that goes with it. This has a bit more green than the other I own but don´t worry I will have a comparison for you :)

Sephora By OPI Havana Dreams
My dear friend from TheLooksForLess.com was on a hunt for a polish similar to the Chanel blue powder nails from the unreleased Cruise Collection 2011 and found this beauty. You can have a look at the whole story and her beautiful swatches here. She was so kind that she sent me a bottle to try out too :) I have to say that I love the color. Makes my nails look so nice! BUT the application was a mess. This polish is streaky and it took me four coats to cover. This is my first experience with Sephora By OPI polishes, I just hope not all of them are like this.

OPI Catch Me In Your Net versus Zoya Charla
As I promised I bring you a comparison of one of the shades from the new OPI summer collection. If you missed my swatches, have a look here. Now my favourite shade from the collection was Catch Me In Your Net, I love colors like this and obviously I also have a shade that is very similar...Zoya Charla. Similar? Well I would call them nearly dupes. As you can see from my picture you can´t tell the difference much. Both of them are three coats. I would say that Zoya is a tad more opaque, on the other side I like the OPI brush more.

OPI Summer Flutter Collection 2010 - Swatches and Review
Today I have for you a cute little summer collection from OPI. The weather outside is just right for these shades, so lets have a look at them.
* the product(s) in this post were sent to me by the manufacturer or their PR company.
OPI says: OPI is all "aflutter" this summer with four new lacquer shades inspired by the brilliance and whimsy of butterflies!
"These sizzling pinks, orange, and turquoise look amazing against summer skin," says Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. "And whether you pair them with flip flops and your favorite bikini or a slinky mini with high-heeled sandals, they add a burst of exotic, tropical color to your style!"
The swatches are all without a base or top coat and are in natural daylight (no sun or lightbox).
FLOWER TO FLOWER
A beautiful bright pink with silver shimmer. Reminds me of ice cream. Just a perfect shade for summer. Application was flawless, three coats.
FLIT A BIT
Super bright orange creme. I am not much an orange person but after trying OPI Hot & Spicy I am starting to fall in love. And now I have this beauty here. Also very pretty, screaming summer is here :) Three coats and flawless aplication.
WING IT!
Love the color and idea of this one. Sadly it isn´t opaque even after three coats. I will try layering it in my next post. Still I have to say that this polish pretty and unique.
CATCH ME IN YOUR NET
I saved the best for the end. LOVE this! It is such a beautiful mermaid color. And so perfect for summer, I will be taking this one on my holidays for sure. Three coats.
I like this collection very much. The only downside is the sheerness of Wing It! but as I said, I will try some layering experiments. The formula on all of these was just perfect. Love the OPI brush :) These are already in stores, so go and get your nails ready for summer. Oh, and the good part is that all four of these can be found in the mini set. Great for traveling!
P.S. In my next posts I will be comparing these to see if there are any dupes :) stay tuned.
Something for spring..
Hello my dear readers, today I have for you a fresh spring mani. It is very simple but I like the way it looks. As a base I used Ciaté Refresher and added some flowers using Konad and China Glaze Adore. I like the combination of a creme with a metallic :)

Barielle High Steppin' Collection 2010 - Swatches and Review
I am a bit late with the Barielle summer collection for this year but better late than never :) This is my first experience with Barielle polishes and I was very curious about them. In the past this brand created some gorgeous shades and this collection is no exception. It is a collection consisting of six polishes from light to dark, the finishes are also different....frost, metallic and glitter.
The idea behind the collection:
Celebrity Manicurist Elle says, "When creating this collection, we wanted to pump up the volume on nail hues. Inspired by bright summer whites, we injected some high-voltage color into any look from bikini to boardwalk."
The swatches are all without a base or top coat and are in natural daylight (no sun or lightbox), I think that this way they are the most color accurate and that is what we all want, don´t we? :)

ELECTRIC BOOGIE
Wow! I have never seen a more beautiful blue. This is a master piece in terms of color...deep blue with teal glitter. The downside is the formula of this one, it is thick and gloopy. But nothing that a few drops of thinner can´t handle. Two coats. I really love this one and from what I read on other blogs this is a winner for most people.
SLOW MOTION
This is a light pinkish frost. On the picture, you can see brush strokes but they are not that visible. I used three coats but if you have short nails, two will be just fine. This is not a wow shade but still nice for work or other occasions, when your nails have to be a bit less noticeable.
FREESTYLE
This year mint greens are a big trend. Barielle comes with something a bit different making it a frost with silver glitter, which is very fine and small. I love this shade, it looks so fresh and original. Didn´t see something like this anywhere else. The formula on this one was just fine, three coats.
PASSION PIROUETTE
I am always happy when a collection has a purple and this one has. And what a beautiful one! I really like the shade, very deep and highly pigmented metallic grape purple. The polish is a bit thick and leaves brushstrokes. Still I like it so much, I think it goes well with my skin tone.
NIGHT MOVES
A foil silver, great for summer! I don´t have any other foil silver polishes to compare with but I like it. It was easy to apply, I have three coats and even the removing was quick.
BELLY DANCE
Another big trend this year - taupe. Barielle made the most beautiful taupe I have seen so far by adding shimmer. The shimmer is very subtle and the polish looks so chic. This is two coats, application was flawless.
My final thoughts? I really like that the collection is full of different colors and finishes, this way everyone can choose something. I also like that there are some special shades like Electric Boogie or Freestyle, I love those and the purple too of course! The downside is the thickness of some of them but as I said that can be solved with a thinner.
The collection is already available at Barielle, each polish retails for $8.00.
P.S. a BIG thank to Kellie for helping me with these. You are a sweetheart! <3

Urban Decay Bruise
Urban Decay made some very beautiful polishes in the past. I wish I could have them all :) Some of them are hard to find, but not Bruise. A few days ago I bought it on ebay. The price was nice too. Well what to say? I just LOVE it. It so hard to describe, something between purple, green and blue. I used three coats, it applied very well. What about you and old Urban Decay polishes? Do you have some? If you don´t have Bruise, I think you should buy a bottle.

China Glaze Blk-Bila-Bong (Surf Collection 2007)
I love this shade. Now my story could just end there, but it is not so easy. I don´t like two things about this polish. The first is the fact that it needs three coats but for the color no problem, I can handle that. The second problem is what bugs me. TIPWEAR! After one day I have to take it off :( Do you have the same problem? But still that doesn´t prevent me from loving this shade so much. Lovely blue shimmer in a black base.

Ciaté Refresher
I love discovering new (to me) nail polish brands. I am so glad I had the opportunity to try Ciaté polishes. Today I want to show you Refresher, a beautiful light blue creme. I didn´t have such a color in my collection and now I am thinking, how could I? I love it! It looks so clean and pure. And so glossy too (no top coat on the picture, just the polish). Application was ok for me, just be careful not to make too thick coats. I did three coats, but two would be absolutely fine. I think this is a perfect spring color. Can´t wait to decorate it with some Konad!

China Glaze Custom Kicks with Konad
How was your weekend? My todays mani is China Glaze Custom Kicks with golden stamping from plate M78 to coordinate with the golden shimmer in this polish. The color brings back memories of last summer, I wore this color a lot. It has been raining in my country for such a long time now, I need the sun so much .) I run on solar power only!

OPI Who The Shrek Are You? (Shrek Forever After Collection 2010)
Well what to say about this one? :) This is not at all my color and I bought it just for fun. I think it makes my hands look sick, but still can´t say I don´t like it. Such a strange color for me. This polish really attracts attention. Everyone was looking at my nails today thinking I must have gone crazy.

Color Club Gossip Column (Rebel Debutante Collection 2010)
I love Color Club polishes, but the Rebel Debutante Collection was nothing for me. I didn´t like the colors much :( The same with this polish. I am not sure about the color, I don´t feel myself in it. But what I loved about this one was the application. So if you like colors like this, get it and you won´t regret :)

Zoya Charla (Sparkle Collection 2010)
When I try new polishes I either like them, don´t or like them a lot but it rarely happens that a polish attacks my Top 10. Well Zoya Charla got right into my Top 3!!! This is the perfect mermaid color I have been searching for a long time. It looks so great on. I am staring at my nails all day :) Do you think if I paint it on my toes I will grow a mermaid tail? More than my crappy description I hope the pictures will give you an idea of how stunning it is. Thank you Zoya for making this polish!
P.S. you still didn´t buy one? Well what are you waiting for?!

Gabriella Salvete 112
Gabriella Salvete is a czech cosmetic company and they also make polishes. It was actually the first brand I used in my life, because it is cheap and the quality is not so bad. This polish is from their new range and I just love the color. It is so beautiful, that you even pardon the worse formula, which is a bit goopy and you need three coats for full coverage. Perfect for summer, don´t you think? :)

China Glaze Rodeo Fanatic with Konad
I can´t wait any longer, so I tried my new Konad plates. I won them from Mary and wanted to take a picture with everything else, but looks like all is lost :( So today I have for you a mani with plate m37. Simple light blue flowers on a darker base.
Už to déle nevydržím a musím vyzkoušet svoje nové konad destičky.

OPI Jade Is The New Black (Hong Kong Collection 2010)
I can´t help myself...this looks just so ugly on me. I don´t like the color and would never wear it *runs to hide in the corner* I know this is a big hit, but I just don´t feel this color on me. You can even see that from the way how badly I applied it :)

Illamasqua Prism versus CND Ice Blue Shimmer
Whed I first saw Prism (my swatches of the whole collection here), I was like hey, I have seen you before! I thought it was similar to CND Ice Blue Shimmer. Well how wrong was I. These two are so much different. I swatched them on a black creme base. Illamasqua (on my index and ring) is an iridescent milky blue and CND (on my pinky and middle) is a blue shimmer. You can really see the difference from the pictures. I don´t know what I like more, both of the effects are cool.
