The OPI one is between the other two in terms of color but the worst in application. You will need about 3 - 4 coats. I think I love the Finger Paints most. So easy to apply, great brush and a beautiful color.

OPI Catch Me In Your Net versus Zoya Charla

As I promised I bring you a comparison of one of the shades from the new OPI summer collection. If you missed my swatches, have a look here. Now my favourite shade from the collection was Catch Me In Your Net, I love colors like this and obviously I also have a shade that is very similar...Zoya Charla. Similar? Well I would call them nearly dupes. As you can see from my picture you can´t tell the difference much. Both of them are three coats. I would say that Zoya is a tad more opaque, on the other side I like the OPI brush more.

Two reader requests

Todays post is two reader requests I got lately. If you want something specific too, just let me know :) I am always happy to help my readers.

First, jaljen wanted to see Orly Luxe with some black stamping. Recently I bought the Bundle monster image plates set, so this was a great opportunity to try them out :) This is from plate MB12. I have to say, that these image plates are great. Very easy to work with, nice designs and cheap. Love them.

Next, alluring_mum wanted me to make a comparison of Maybelline Mirror Image polish with China Glaze Millenium. In the bottle these two look very simmilar, but on the nail the difference is evident. The Mirror Image really looks more like a mirror, but is hadrer to work with and doesn´t last long. If you want a really shiny silver that last, I would go for the China Glaze.

OPI Siberian Nights (Russian Collection 2007)

The Russian Collection from which this polish is was one of the best OPI made. I loved a lot of colors from it :) Well I would have loved even this beautiful dark purple creme but since I have the great one coater Orly Wild Wisteria, I dodn´t need two polishes like this. They are not dupes thought. OPI is darker and needs two coats, Orly is more blue. Did a quick comparison to show you :)

Purple Cremes - Comparison

Funny to think that I didn´t have a single purple creme until this spring and now I have six :) So I wanted to share them with you and show you a little comparison from the lightest to the darkest. I have to say, I love them all and use them often...alone or as a base for layering. And don´t ask me to choose a favourite, I wouldn´t know. What about you and purple cremes? Any color that I don´t have and is so special I should? Let me know :)

Illamasqua Prism versus CND Ice Blue Shimmer

Whed I first saw Prism (my swatches of the whole collection here), I was like hey, I have seen you before! I thought it was similar to CND Ice Blue Shimmer. Well how wrong was I. These two are so much different. I swatched them on a black creme base. Illamasqua (on my index and ring) is an iridescent milky blue and CND (on my pinky and middle) is a blue shimmer. You can really see the difference from the pictures. I don´t know what I like more, both of the effects are cool.

Když jsem poprvé vybalila Prism (fotky celé kolekce zde) z krabičky, něco mi hned připomněl. Myslela jsem si, že je hodně podobný CND Ice Blue Shimmer, ale to jsem se teda pěkně spletla. Tyhle dva laky jsou úplně jiný. Nafotila jsem je na černém krémovém laku. Illamasqua (ukazováček a prsteníček) je mléčně duhově modrá, ale CND (malíček a prostředníček) jsou jen mikro třpytečky. Na fotkách je rozdíl hezky vidět. Nevím, co se mi líbí víc, oba efekty jsou pěkné.

Eyeko Polishes - Swatches and Review

Eyeko released a new line of polishes and I have three of them for you today. They are all pastels and I love pastels. They improved the bottle shape, I really like it. Each bottle contains 8.5ml of color. The brush is long and I had no problems with it. So let´s have a look at the colors.

Eyeko má šest nových odstínů a tři z nich vám dnes ukážu. Všechno to jsou pastelové barvičky, které se mi líbí. Od minulé kolekce se změnila i lahvička a já myslím, že k lepšímu. Obsah je 8.5ml. Štěteček je docela dlouhý, ale pracovalo se s ním dobře. Tak jdeme omrknout barvičky.

NUDE POLISH

This one was the problem child, it was streaky and even after three coats I have VNL. But if you want the look of nice natural nails, one coat looks nice. It has subtle shimmer. Although it was hard to apply I really like the color, it would make a nice polish for work.

S tímhle jsem měla docela problémy, byl řídký a nerovnoměrně se nanášel. Na fotkách mám tři vrstvy a pořád plně nekryje. Pokud ale chcete vzhled přírodních zdravých nehtů, tak jedna vrstva vypadá moc hezky. Přestože s ním byly takové problémy, tak se mi na mě líbí. Perfektní lak do práce.

VINTAGE POLISH

Three coats and applied much better. I really like the color, but it reminds me a lot of Orly Gumdrop, so I made a little comparison for you.

Tři vrstvy, nanášel se mnohem líp, než ten předchozí. Hodně mi připomíná Orly Gumdrop, tak jsem pro vás udělala malé srovnání.

LILAC POLISH

My favourite of the three. I love this color! A beautiful lilac cream. I don´t have anything like it, although I made a comparison for you with Orly Lollipop and China Glaze Light As Air. Again three coats.

Můj favorit z těchto tří. Tu barvu zbožňuju! Krásná krémová levandulová. Žádný podobný lak nemám, přesto jsem ho srovnala s Orly Lollipop a China Glaze Light As Air. Opět tři vrstvy.

China Glaze C-C-Courage (Wizard of Ooh Ahz Returns Collection 2010)

When this collection came out, I thought I would just skip it, although it is a purple. I have Grape Juice from the Summer Days collection and I thought they are too close to bother. But a couple of days ago I added it to my TD order and I am glad I did. C-C-Courage has more glitter and is opaque in two coats, for Grape Juice I need three. I don´t have a comparison on the nails, but I did some bottle pictures, hope it helps you :)

Když tahle kolekce vyšla, moc mě neoslovila a ani tahle fialka mi moc neříkala. Mám totiž podobný Grape Juice, který je z loňské letní kolekce Summer Days. Samozřejmě jsem ale neodolala a před pár dny ho koupila a nakonec jsem ráda, že jsem tak udělala. C-C-Courage je třpytkovější a lépe kryje. Sice pro vás nemám srovnání na nehtech, ale nafotila jsem alespoň lahvičeky, třeba to pomůže .)

Sally Hansen Mint Sprint

Mint Sprint is from the new collection for spring 2010. It is a mint green creme. I did a little comparison for you with Orly Gumdrop, which is more lighter and more on the blue side. I was really surprised about the brush, which is flat and wide so it was a bit hard to work. Which one do you like more? :)

Mint Sprint je z nové jarní kolekce pro rok 2010 a veze se po módní vlně podobných barviček. Udělala jsem pro vás srovnání s Orly Gumdrp, který je ale světlejší a trošku víc domodra. Byla jsem docela překvapená štětečkem, který je tlustý a široký, takže se s ním trošku hůř pracovalo. Tak který se vám líbí víc? :)

China Glaze Flyin’ High versus Custom Kicks

As soon as I painted my nails with Flyin’ High from the new China Glaze collection, I knew it reminded me of something. I thought about Custom Kicks, although I read on a another blog (can´t remember where) that these aren´t very close. So I thought a little comparison could help :) I think these two are simmilar except of the gold shimmer that Custom Kicks has. Still, I love both of these polishes!

Hned jak jsem si nalakovala nehty Flyin’ High z nové kolekce China Glaze, něco mi připomínal. Napadl mě Custom Kicks, přestože jsem někde na jiném blogu (už nevím kde) četla že moc podobné nejsou. Nafotila jsem tedy malé srovnání, které vám snad pomůže :) Podle mě teda tyhle laky podobné jsou, samozřejmě kromě zlatavých odlesků, které Custom Kicks má.
